about Doris Pakozdi, LMFT
I enjoy helping individuals navigate seasons of change, whether they’re adjusting to a new city, starting a new job, or taking the first steps towards leaving an unhealthy relationship. I love helping people become their own biggest advocate and finding their sense of belonging and confidence along the way.
I believe that many mental and emotional difficulties are natural human responses to life’s inevitable challenges. Sometimes the coping mechanisms that may have once served us and behavior patterns that became so familiar, are no longer helpful or perhaps even harmful to our well-being. Struggling to have healthy relationships or cope in healthy ways can feel defeating. With the right support, self-awareness, and tools, people can untangle these difficulties, gain clarity, and build a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Everyone has a unique story, and I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs, blending evidence-based techniques with genuine care and thoughtful insight. I understand that therapy is a vulnerable experience, even daunting at times, which is why I prioritize building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. It's my goal to help you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges at your own pace.
