about Herbert Gross, LMFT, Credentialed School Psychologist

For more than 30 years, I have been dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. As both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a School Psychologist with over three decades of experience, I bring a unique perspective that integrates mental health, child development, education, and family systems.

When I’m not working, I love traveling and immersing myself in different cultures and experiences. These opportunities have enriched my appreciation for the many ways people experience the world and have strengthened my belief that every person’s story deserves respect and understanding. My greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with my children and grandchildren, who continually remind me of the importance of connection, resilience, and unconditional love.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with children and teens with autism, ADHD, learning differences, and a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I also have extensive experience supporting parents as they navigate the complexities of raising children with disabilities and mental health concerns. My goal is to help families build stronger relationships, develop effective strategies, and create lasting positive change.

Whether I am working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. I empower my clients to accept their thoughts and feelings as valid, but to also focus on values and life goals. I remind my clients that our journey through life involves managing our emotions and feelings so that they don’t manage us

What clients have to say about working with me

Many of my clients have shared that they quickly feel safe with me, find it easy to trust me, and appreciate having a place where they can openly explore their concerns without judgment. They describe me as someone who is compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping them find hope.
