about Erin Bremmer,
MS, NCC, APCC
Professional Counselor Associate
Hello! My name is Erin (she/her), and I’m so excited for the opportunity to work with you! Outside of the counseling office, I love soaking up the sun by surfing, hiking, or traveling. On my cozier days indoors, you can usually find me hanging out with my husband and our cat, watching shows like Bob's Burgers, Parks and Recreation, Schitts Creek, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Frasier.
In my practice, I meet every client with authenticity, curiosity, empathy, and compassion. I believe we are all complex human beings, and every emotion we feel exists for a reason. When difficult emotions like sadness begin to feel heavier than joy or peace, it’s a sign that something needs attention. I am here to help you navigate those heavy moments, working through the difficulty to create space for more lightness, joy, and peace to return.
As your counselor I will help you reduce the overwhelm, exhaustion, and frustration difficult emotions and experiences often bring. I have a toolkit of strategies and techniques I can teach you that you can take outside the therapy room into your everyday life. Life never stops challenging us, and I help people build tools and find the inner strength to creatively meet those challenges.
I have extensive experience helping clients move through the non-linear nature of grief, particularly following a difficult medical diagnosis or the loss of a loved one. Having personally (and successfully) navigated a complex medical diagnosis, I find deep purpose in working with patients, caregivers, and medical professionals. I am here to be a supportive presence and help you manage the difficult and often overwhelming reactions that can arise as a result of coming in contact with systems of care that can sometimes be anything but supportive. I also have experience helping those within the healthcare system who find themselves wanting to give their all, but are too often burnt out by those same systems.
Another significant part of my practice is dedicated to working with teens, with a special focus on the LGBTQIA+ community. Specifically, I have worked with teens to explore their gender identity and guide them through the unique challenges of that journey. I also enjoy helping young people manage the pressures of academics and athletics, while also guiding them through the exciting (and sometimes daunting) transition into life after high school.

What clients have to say about working with me
My clients frequently share that our sessions provide them with more than just a place to talk; they gain practical strategies that they can apply outside of therapy. It is incredibly rewarding to hear about the positive changes that materialize as a result of our work together.
