our story

In an era where mental health bore the heavy burden of societal stigma, three inseparable allies, Dr. Julio Guerra, Patricia Guerra, BSN, and Kenneth Kingsbury, LMFT, embarked on a mission to carve out a sanctuary where their community could freely pursue mental well-being. Drawing from their collective wealth of experience in the mental health realm, they witnessed the pervasive struggles with psychological issues across diverse demographics, igniting a shared aspiration to extend affordable mental healthcare to all demographics.

Driven by the unwavering belief that mental and emotional wellness are fundamental human rights, in February 1982, these visionary friends established Associated Therapists, Inc. (AT), pioneering as one of the earliest psychology practices to accept health insurance, thus opening doors to a broader spectrum of individuals in need of support.

Their genuine empathy extended to all who crossed the threshold of AT, fostering a nurturing familial atmosphere that garnered steadfast loyalty from clients, administrative staff, and professionals alike.

Four decades on, AT remains steadfast in its founding principles, passing the torch to Sharissa Boatright and Betsy Chung, Psy.D., two dedicated longtime employees committed to preserving their predecessors' legacy and continuing the journey of making mental healthcare inclusive for all.

Embracing the shifting landscape of mental health awareness, Ms. Boatright and Dr. Chung envisioned a holistic haven for mental wellness, birthing the concept of Flow Wellness Hub.

Ms. Boatright has over a decade of experience managing business operations and organizational functions. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, she infuses her role as Director of Operations with unwavering dedication, fostering a workplace culture grounded in ethics and compassion.

Dr. Chung, having traversed a journey from administrative assistant to licensed therapist, now assumes the mantle of Clinical Director, leveraging her vast experience to uphold the highest standards of care and spearhead innovative avenues towards holistic well-being.

Under their joint leadership, fueled by a legacy of mentorship and expertise, Ms. Boatright and Dr. Chung aspire to blaze trails in modern psychology, offering a sanctuary for all to embrace balance and a better quality of life.
